Job Posting Properties: Overview and Features
FollowProperties are the section of a job posting where you define all its characteristics: what candidates see, where it is published, how you receive and evaluate applications, and who can work on it. This feature is available in the Altamira Recruiting module.
You use Properties both when creating a new job posting and when modifying one that has already been published. In particular, you can:
- Write and update the job posting: enter the title, text, salary, and internal classification data
- Classify the position: indicate the location, area, and required skills so candidates can find the job posting more easily and the platform can suggest suitable profiles
- Manage publication: choose which Career Sites and job search engines to publish the job posting on and when to withdraw it
- Organize CV receipt: decide how to receive applications, which emails to send, and when to receive notifications
- Filter candidates: set evaluation criteria and mandatory questions to immediately identify suitable profiles
- Control access: determine which users can view and modify the job posting
This article describes each Properties tab and the fields it contains.
How to access Properties
- Click Recruiting > Job postings
- Search for the job posting using Quick Search or Advanced Search
- Click the edit icon next to the job posting
- Click the Properties tab
Properties are divided into seven tabs: Main data, Categories, Advanced, Multiposting, CV evaluation, Killer Question, and Permissions.
The page also includes:
- Workflow panel (on the right): shows the history of the job posting statuses, such as Draft and Published, with the date and time of each change
- Bottom bar: contains the Save, New, and Actions buttons, as well as the sharing icon for sharing with the Team (also see Using vacancy sharing with internal and external Teams). In the bottom-right corner, there is the Publish or Withdraw button, depending on the job posting status
Warning: whenever you modify a tab, always click Save before leaving the page.
Main data
In this tab, enter the information that describes the job posting: reference, title, collective bargaining agreement, role, salary, and text.
For information about completing the fields, see the Create a vacancy guide.
Categories
In this tab, classify the job posting by Locations, Areas, and, if you have the Recruiting AI product enabled, AI semantic classification is also available. Candidates use this information to find the job posting on the Career Site, and the platform uses it to suggest the most suitable candidates.
If the location or area you need is not available, see the following guides:
For AI semantic classification, the professions and skills are automatically populated from the job posting text and cannot be modified.
Advanced
- Workflow: the status flow followed by candidates for this job posting, such as Screening, Interview, and Hired
- Job posting withdrawal date: enter the date, hour, and minute to automatically withdraw the job posting
- Update: button with the date of the last update next to it. You can update it only once, and it is updated only on the Career Site
- Logo: the logo to display in the job posting. This configuration is obsolete
- Job posting frame: the job posting graphic. This configuration is obsolete
- CV receipt method: choose whether to receive CVs on the platform (Receive resumes in the back office) or by email (Receive CVs by email at this address). With the second option, enter the destination address in the field below
- Hide job posting from the list: prepare the job posting without displaying it on the Career Site or job search engines (only for Recruiting Enterprise and Recruiting Consulting)
- Allow candidates to submit their CV multiple times: the same candidate can apply to this job posting multiple times
- Maximum number of CVs for this job posting: the application limit that the job posting can receive
- Disable resume parsing for this job posting: the platform does not automatically read received CVs to extract their information. The AI product must be enabled.
Warning: if you hide a published job posting, it is removed from the Career Site but not from job search engines. To remove it from those as well, use the Remove from all external sites link in the Multiposting tab.
- Email notification when the job posting is withdrawn: select the checkbox and enter in the Recipient to notify when the job posting is withdrawn field the address that should receive the notification
- Email notification when the job posting is published: select from the drop-down menu whether to send an email when the job posting is published
- CV Alert: click Enable and choose the CV Alert frequency to receive a summary of new applications. The CV Alert recipient is automatically populated with the email address of the person who created the job posting
- Email template to send to candidates who apply to this job posting: the email the candidate receives after applying
- Disable event-based email for statuses in this job posting: blocks, only for this job posting, the automatic emails sent when the candidate's status changes
Note: These are emails specific to this job posting. During product implementation, standard emails for all job postings are already configured.
Multiposting
In this tab, you manage where the job posting is published. It is divided into four sections:
- Career Center: your company's Career Sites on which to publish the job posting
- Multiposting – JobBoard: the external job boards for which your company has activated an account
- Multiposting – Job search engines: the search engines on which the job posting is automatically published
- Easy CV: the email address to use to add CVs to the job posting
For information about publishing or withdrawing the job posting from external sites, see the Multiposting & Job boards guide.
You can also learn more about the following topics:
- Link builder: to create tracked links and find out which channel candidates come from
- Easy CV: to receive CVs by email. Configuration must have been completed in your company account
- Why is my vacancy not appearing on the multiposting websites?: if the job posting does not appear to be published on external sites
CV evaluation
In this tab, you set the criteria for evaluating and collecting CVs for the job posting. It is divided into two sections:
- CV evaluation: define the ideal candidate profile. The platform assigns each CV from one to three stars based on how closely it matches the criteria
- Automatic CV addition: set filters to automatically add or remove CVs from the job posting
For information about setting evaluation criteria, see the CV Ranking in a vacancy or a project guide.
To configure automatic CV addition, see the Adding CVs automatically to a project guide. The procedure is the same for job postings.
Note: Automatic CV addition is available only with the Recruiting Enterprise or Consulting module.
Killer Question
In this tab, you create mandatory questions that candidates must answer before applying. If the answers are not among those accepted, the application is blocked. You must have the Recruiting Enterprise or Consulting product enabled.
For information about enabling and configuring them, see the Killer Questions guide.
Note: Killer Questions are not supported by Indeed Apply. Candidates who come from Indeed are directed to the Career Site.
Permissions
In this tab, you decide who can access the job posting. You can make it visible to all platform users or only to specific users, each with their own permissions. You must have the Recruiting Enterprise or Consulting product enabled.
For information about setting access permissions, see the Managing permissions for a job posting or project guide.
