If the message "You are not authorized to perform this action" appears after attempting to perform any type of operation on the platform, your user account may have access/operation restrictions configured in User Security or in Hierarchical Security.

Checks to be performed by the Administrator

Check the employee's permissions: 

• User account group:
  1. Click Settings > Security > Users
  2. Click the user's name to be checked
  3. Check the Groups tab
  4. Check which group your user account belongs to and the related permissions\rights (also see the Security section for more details)

  5. NOTE: the employee must always belong to the following groups: 

     -  For the Employees module: membership in the Employees group

     -  For the Recruiting module: membership in one of the Recruiting data entry, Recruiting managers, or Recruiting staff groups

• Access restrictions that may be configured for specific sections:
  1. For permissions related to job postings and projects, check the Properties for the job posting or project; see Managing permissions for a job posting or project)
