Rules and Thresholds
FollowIt is possible to create rules to refine the details of an attendance record.
These rules are applied only during the processing of clock-ins/outs for a day, week, or month.
They are ignored when processing attendance details directly.

Configuring a Rule
- Go to Settings
> Application > Codifications.
- Click on Attendance Models.
- Select the attendance model where you want to add a rule.
- Open the Rules tab.
- Click New Rule.
- Select the cause to which the rule should apply.
- Choose the mode:
- Convert: Converts attendance details with the selected cause into a new cause defined by the intervals (see below).
- Add: Creates new details based on the defined cause and intervals.
- Split: Divides the attendance detail by a specified value; no intervals required.
- Generate anomaly: Creates an anomaly when a cause appears for a specific duration. The cause, duration, and anomaly are set in the intervals. To define new anomalies, go to Settings > Application > Codifications > Anomaly Types.
- Reduce: Limits the duration of attendance details to a defined maximum. The exceeding portion is removed. The rule respects the measurement unit (days/hours) associated with the interval.
- Define the intervals (thresholds) for this rule (see below).
Configuring Intervals (Thresholds)
- Within the rule tab, click New Interval.
- Select the cause to assign to the converted or added detail. For “Generate anomaly”, select the anomaly type instead.
- Define the time range (in minutes) for which the new cause or anomaly should apply.
- You can add multiple intervals if you want different causes for different ranges.
- The “Split” mode does not require intervals.
Processing
The rule applies to attendance details that match the selected cause.
- Convert: Converts details based on the interval ranges in minutes and the original duration.
- Add: Adds new details according to the defined intervals and original durations.
- Split: Divides the detail into a smaller portion based on the specified divisor.
- Generate anomaly: Creates an anomaly if the cause is present in a detail for a defined duration.
- Reduce: Limits details to the defined maximum duration, removing the exceeding part. The system checks the unit of measure to ensure consistency with requests.
Periods (Weeks and Months)
Only the Convert and Generate anomaly modes are available for weekly and monthly periods. They work similarly to daily rules, but the replacement applies to all related details starting from Monday (for weeks) or the first day of the month (for months).
Notes
- You can add a rule for all types of causes except figurative ones.
- Figurative causes cannot be selected in intervals when the rule mode is “Convert”.
- Only the last interval can have an open end; it will cover the remaining duration.
- To apply a new cause to the entire original detail, set Start=0 and End=blank in the interval.
