Counters with “On request” expiration
Follow
Configuration
- Go to the Company Preferences section
- Set the desired counter to have the expiration type “On request”
- Enter the number of months for the expiration period
- Configure the reasons that need to be associated with the counter group
- Configure overtime if needed (e.g. Bank of hours)
Usage
- Accrued amounts using reasons linked to that counter group have an expiration, meaning they can only be used within that time frame (the reference is the start date of the accrual)
- Requests for usage are always validated based on available balances as of the start date of the request. The action is blocked if there are insufficient balances.
The flag "Block requests if no balance remains" is ignored in this case, and requests are always blocked. - The balance of each individual accrual is reduced based on usage requests made between the accrual start date and its expiration date.
- The counter expiration date is automatically updated according to the number of months set.
Views and Reports
- There is a “Bank of hours detail” view showing the balance and the list of accruals for that counter
- To create reports/lists/subviews, use the Counter Movements entity:
- Accrued (Yes/No): shows or filters accrual or usage movements
- Expired (Yes/No): indicates whether the accrual has expired based on the set expiration months
- Expired movements are displayed in grey
- Counter group (List): specifies the type of counter referenced
