Matching
FollowMatching is an advanced feature based on artificial intelligence, designed to compare the information contained in candidates' CVs with the specific requirements indicated in job postings. This process allows for the rapid and effective identification of the most suitable profiles
With this technology, you can:
- View CVs that closely match the professions and skills sought in a job posting
- Check the affinity level of each CV, automatically calculated, to quickly identify the most suitable candidates
This functionality simplifies selection processes, optimizes search times, and supports strategic decisions in candidate management.
How Matching Works
Matching is available in the following sections of the platform:
- CV Database: After using the AI widget in the free-text search box. Refer to Semantic Search
- Job Postings: Found both in the list of CVs and in a dedicated tab
- Projects: Functions as in job postings but requires at least one job posting to be linked to the project
Understanding the Affinity Level (Matching Field)
- Check the Matching field, which indicates the level of affinity between each CV and the taxonomies of the job posting or semantic search
-
Weight assigned to matches:
- Professions have a greater weight compared to skills and can account for up to 66% of the total matching score, while skills can account for up to 33%
- When searching for only a profession or only one or more skills, the relative weight can reach up to 100%
-
Details on professions:
- If the last profession held in the CV matches the one being searched for, the CV receives 100% of the value assigned to professions
- If the searched profession matches one found among past experiences, the value will be 80%
- If the subcategory of the searched profession matches a subcategory of past professions, the value will be 60%
- If the category of the searched profession matches a category of past professions, the value will be 30%
- Profession values do not add up: only the highest score (100% or lower) is considered
- The profession search is hierarchical: when searching for a profession, the system will also evaluate the presence of past work experiences in the subcategory and category of the searched profession, assigning them the corresponding values listed above
-
Details on skills:
- Each individual skill has a percentage value equal to 100 divided by the total number of skills sought
- The final value of the skills is obtained by multiplying the number of skills found by the percentage value of each individual skill. This value is then considered for the skills portion in the total matching score

Matching Tab
To access the Matching tab in job postings/projects, ensure that the job posting (or at least one of the job postings linked to the project) has undergone resume parsing, meaning that the taxonomies have been extracted from the job posting text (parsed)
To verify:
- Select the desired job posting
- Choose the "Properties" tab
- Click the "Categories" tab
- Ensure that the Profession and Skills fields are filled in. If they are not, click the "Save" button located at the bottom left
In the tab, you will find a list of CVs with at least one match with the job posting's taxonomies (excluding those already present in the job posting/project). The match includes at least one profession or one skill
Moving CVs from the Matching Tab
From the Matching tab, you can move the displayed CVs by following these simple steps:
-
Select the candidates
- Check the CVs you wish to move from the list
-
Apply a status
- Click on "Select a status to apply"
- Choose the status with which the candidates should be added to the project or job posting
-
Add to project or job posting
- After setting the status, click on "Add to project/job posting" to complete the operation.
Note: To enable the option to add CVs to job postings, you must activate the functionality in Account > Company Preferences > Allow adding and removing CVs from job postings
- After setting the status, click on "Add to project/job posting" to complete the operation.
With these steps, you can manage the CVs found through the Matching functionality in a quick and organized manner
