Resume Parsing
FollowResume Parsing (or CV Parsing) is an advanced tool that analyzes and converts the data present in a resume into a structured format. This process occurs automatically and allows for the creation of complete candidate profiles with minimal steps.
Thanks to this technology:
- Candidates do not need to fill out lengthy application forms: they simply upload their CV, and the system automatically populates the required fields.
- Information is immediately available for advanced operations: such as semantic search and matching.
This process is compatible with various CV formats and complies with GDPR regulations, ensuring secure and transparent management of personal data.
How Resume Parsing Works
-
Uploading the CV
- The candidate uploads their resume through one of the available channels (career site, job board, back office, easy CV, etc.).
- The system reads the document and automatically extracts key information.
-
Automatic Pre-filling
- The application form is automatically filled with the extracted data (name, surname, work experiences, skills, etc.).
- The candidate only needs to verify and confirm the information or add any missing data.
This process makes the application quick and easily manageable even from mobile devices.
Extracted Fields and Extraction Logic
The fields extracted by the parser are as follows:
Field Name | Tagname | Correspondence |
CV.EmailAddress | ||
Address | CV.Address | |
Postal Code | CV.PostCode
City | CV.City | |
Province | CV.Province | |
Country | CV.Country | |
Residence | CV.RegionProvince | Matches with the nearest Region coding within 30Km |
Home Phone | CV.HomeNo | |
Mobile Phone | CV.MobileNo
Work Phone | CV.WorkNo | |
Company | CV.Company | |
First Name | CV.Name | |
Last Name | CV.Surname | |
Date of Birth | CV.DateOfBirth
Photo | Curricula.Photo
LinkedIn Profile URL | CV.LinkedInProfileUrl
Education Title | CV.StudyTitle | Education History\Last education title\Matches "education titles" coding |
English Level | CV.English
French Level | CV.French
Spanish Level | CV.Spanish
German Level | CV.German
Years of Experience | CV.YearsOfExperience | Matches with the selected Years of Experience coding |
Profession | CV.SemanticProfessions | Profession History |
Skills | CV.SemanticSkills | Skills found/deduced from the CV text |
These fields do not necessarily need to be present in the application form to be extracted: the system always processes all of them, and if it finds a value, it saves it behind the scenes.
Advantages of Resume Parsing
- Improves the candidate's experience: A simple and quick application process increases the conversion rate and candidate satisfaction.
- Reduces errors: Extracted data is standardized and ready to be used in advanced recruiting operations.
- Accelerates manual addition of new profiles to the database: Even when a CV arrives through the back office or an import, Resume Parsing analyzes it and populates the required fields without manual intervention.
- Supports semantic search and matching: Structured information extracted from the CV feeds semantic search and matching engines, making selections based on skills and roles more effective.
Integrating Resume Parsing into application processes not only optimizes your work as a recruiter but also enhances candidate engagement and satisfaction, thereby increasing the success rate of your job postings.
