Advanced schedule
Note: to set up an advanced schedule, you first need to create a control view.
- Create a view of type Tabular Report based on the same table used for the report.
- The view must contain at least the following fields:
- User ID
- Business email of the users who should receive the notification
- Apply the same initial filter used in the report.
Tip: run both the view and the report to verify that the data matches your expectations. - Set up the schedule by selecting the related table (the same one used to create the report).
- In the Control view field, select the previously created view (this allows the system to retrieve the User ID and email address of the recipients).
- Select User ID in the “UserID of the current user” field for notifications.
- In the Notification section, configure the notification email by choosing the view set in the Control view field.
- You can receive the report as an Excel file attached to the email. In the Notification section, tick “Attach report content as Excel attachment.”
Note: this works only if the email text contains the tag %%REPORT_CONTENT%%. - Set the schedule type: single or recurring.
