Selecting items from a list
FollowIn all platform lists, you can select one or more items to perform bulk actions such as exports or deletions. Below are the three available selection methods, depending on your needs.
Single selection
This method is useful when you need to perform an action on a single item or a very small number of items—for example, to export a single record or apply a targeted operation without involving the entire list.
Check the selection box next to the item you want to select.
Multiple selection of all items across all pages in the list
This method is useful when you want to perform an action on all items in the list, including those spread across multiple pages.
It's ideal for exporting the entire list, applying a bulk operation to all records, or deleting them all at once.
Check the master selection box at the top of the list, above all single item checkboxes.
Multiple selection of all items on a single visible page
This method is useful when you want to apply an action only to the items on a single visible page, without including items from other pages. It's ideal, for example, for exporting or editing only a visible subset of items.
- Select the master checkbox at the top to select all items across all pages.
- Uncheck any one item in the list. This limits the selection to only the items visible on the current page.
- Recheck the item you just deselected.
Note: The master checkbox for selecting all pages must be deselected.
If it remains selected, the action will be applied to all items in the list.
Keep in mind that if you navigate between pages with the "single-page selection" active, previous selections will not be retained.
