Course Copy
FollowIn Altamira HRM, a Course Copy feature is available, designed to simplify the creation of new courses based on existing ones.
Feature Overview
This functionality allows you to quickly create a new course by duplicating an existing one, preserving configurations, materials, and course structure.
How to Use the Course Copy
- Go to the Course Management section.
- Select the course you want to copy.
- Access the course detail page and select Copy from the Actions menu.
- In the copy screen:
- Enter the name for the new course.
- Optionally, choose to copy the latest edition of the selected course.
Details of the Copied Content
- Course Data: All fields configured in the copy view, as defined in the View and Form Configurator for courses, will be duplicated.
- Training Materials: All materials linked to the original course will be copied to the new one.
- Associated Skills: All skills connected to the original course will be maintained in the copy.
- Lessons: If the course includes directly associated lessons, they will also be copied.
Copying the Latest Edition (Optional)
If you choose to copy the latest edition of the course:
- All fields configured in the copy view for editions, defined through the View and Form Configurator, will be replicated.
- All lessons associated with the edition will be duplicated.
Note: Asynchronous File Copy Process
Please note that file-type fields included in the course or edition copy are processed asynchronously via a background batch process.
This means that any files linked to the original course (such as documents or attachments) are not immediately available in the new course after the copy is completed. The file transfer process may take a few minutes.
Once the batch process is completed, all files will be correctly copied and accessible within the new course or edition.
Recommendation: If you intend to work with course files immediately after copying, please allow a few minutes for the process to finalize.
