Course Types
FollowThe Learning module allows you to create, deliver, and track courses in a way that aligns with your training model.
Configure Course Types in Learning: define whether to use editions, which views and forms to make available, and which lesson types to enable (Classroom/FAD, eLearning/SCORM, Blended).
Choose the course type carefully: once created, it cannot be changed.
Rules for Creating Courses
- Classroom: with editions; Classroom/FAD lessons only
- Blended: with editions; Classroom/FAD + eLearning lessons
- eLearning: without editions; eLearning/SCORM lessons only
Accessing Course Types
- Go to Settings > Learning > Course Types
- Set the flag This course does not support editions according to your needs:
- Enable for eLearning courses (without editions)
- Disable for Classroom/Blended courses (with editions)
- Enable lessons according to the course type
Set Course Views
In the Basic Data → Views section, configure the forms/lists for management, enrollment, and catalog.
- Course Management View → select the form used in back office (e.g., Copy of Course Form – eLearning)
- Course Management Mobile View → feature not available
- Enrollment View → select the form used by users to enroll (e.g., eLearning Enrollment Form)
- Mobile Enrollment View (optional) → set the mobile enrollment view
- Course Catalog View → select the view used in the online course catalog
- Mobile Course Catalog View → select the mobile catalog view
Set Lesson Views
In the same page, further down, enable and configure Classroom Lesson and/or eLearning Lesson according to the course type.
Classroom Lesson
- Active → enables Classroom/FAD lessons for this type
- Classroom Lesson View → choose the form for creating/editing a classroom lesson
- Classroom Lesson Mobile View → select the mobile view, if available
eLearning Lesson
- Active → enables eLearning/SCORM lessons
- eLearning Lesson View → choose the form for creating/editing an eLearning lesson (e.g., Form: eLearning Lesson)
- eLearning Lesson Mobile View → select the mobile view
Note: the lesson viewer the employee uses to consume eLearning content is a platform standard and does not depend on the eLearning Lesson View set here. The eLearning Lesson View only configures the new/edit form on the administrator/trainer side, not the employee-facing consumption page.
