Bulk import of absence requests
FollowTo perform a bulk import of absence requests, you need:
- An Excel file containing the list of requests to import.
- An import template and the related control view.
Excel File Structure
The Excel file must contain the following columns (the ones in red are mandatory):
- Employee First Name
- Employee Last Name
- Employee Tax Code
- Start Date of Request: column formatted as Date and Time (e.g., 1/1/2020 00:00:00)
- End Date of Request: column formatted as Date and Time (e.g., 1/1/2020 00:00:00)
- Absence Type: this column must contain the absence type in text format, e.g., VACATION, PAID LEAVE, etc.
- Status: must always be Approved

Import Template Configuration
- Create an Excel import template using the Absences entity.
- You can use the same control view as for the INPS Sick Leave Certificates Import.
- Enable the option Automatically add main items if they are not already present.
- Set the following options:
- Operation for rows already present in Altamira but not in the import file: NONE
- Transfer method: NONE
- Configure the field mapping as follows:

Note: In the Default Value for Rule ID, enter the code corresponding to the Accept outcome within the To be approved status in the request workflow.
