Scheduling an import
FollowWhen creating a new import, you can choose to run it immediately or delay its execution to a specific date and time. This lets you prepare an import in advance and have it start automatically at the scheduled time.
Immediate or deferred execution
When creating a new import, the Next run time field controls when the import is executed:
- If you leave the field empty, the import is picked up and executed as soon as possible.
- If you enter a future date and time, the import stays in Queued status until that moment, then runs automatically.
How to schedule an import for future execution
- Go to Other > Import data and click New.
- Select the import template and upload the file.
- In the Next run time field, enter the date and time when the import should run.
- Click Save.
No further action is required. The system will start the import automatically at the specified date and time.
Checking scheduled imports
Go to Other > Import data: imports with a future execution date appear with status Queued until they are executed.
To find all scheduled imports, use the advanced search and filter by Next run time from/to. For more details on the advanced search and available statuses, see Checking the outcome of an import.
Recurring scheduling
If you need to run the same import at regular intervals (for example, daily or weekly), you can set up an automatic schedule in the Scheduling tab of the import template. For a configuration example, see Configuring FTP data transfer.
