Checking the outcome of an import
FollowDuring imports, there may be cases where data is not written into the platform.
Check the file
- Go to Other > Import data > Click the edit icon in the Open column > Click on the icon located under the File field
- Download the file and make sure no filters are applied and that the headers are written as agreed during setup
At this point, if the document is filled in correctly, further checks will be required within the platform.
Check the import
- Go to Other > Import data > Check the import state
The state can be of three different types:
-
the import was successful; -
the import was completed successfully but there are some items to review; -
the import failed.
In some cases, after performing the checks from step 1, if the import was not completed correctly, you can go to Other > Import data > Open the import > Click Actions > Rerun from backup.
2. Open the import > Go to the Log > filter by State
Depending on the outcome, results may vary:
- Completed: the import was successful;
- Completed with exceptions: some items were not imported correctly;
- Empty: the import is empty;
- Filtered: a condition was applied so that the item is automatically excluded from the import;
- Failed: the import failed;
- Queued: the import is queued, not yet processed;
You can also filter by the text contained in the information message and the error text, relating to the individual imported item.
- Open the status and read the information contained in the Description section.
Advanced search
If you need to check multiple imports simultaneously, you can search within the global log using the advanced search:
Other > Import data > Advanced Search (arrow next to the Find button)

It allows you to apply different filters to more quickly find the import you want to check:
- Import templates: select the available import template
- Process result: select the process result
- Total number of items processed: enter the number of items included in the file
- Imported items: select the number of imported items. Enter from 1 if you are sure that at least one item was imported
- Date run from\to: enter the past date when the import was executed
- Next run time from\to: enter the future date of the next import execution
For information on how to set a future execution date when creating an import, see Scheduling an import.

It allows you to filter in more detail by single items:
- State: select the state of the single item
- Action: enter the action the item must perform (Insert, Update)
- Description: enter the description of the item
- Error: if the item has an error, enter the error description
