It is possible to manage the initial skill weights.

• Go to Menu > PMP > PMP types.
• Select the desired PMP type.
• Click on the Skill Setting tab.
• Select the checkbox Use weights for skills.
  The Skill Weight Management field selectable dropdown will be rendered. Choose one of the following options:
  Do not assign an initial weight to skills: Skills will have no prefilled weights in the PMP.
  Assign the same weight to all skills: Skills will have weights evenly distributed and prefilled in the PMP.
  Assign the default weight set for skills required by role: Skills will have predefined weights in the PMP.
