Configuring a custom domain
FollowCustom domains allow you to assign your company a dedicated web address on Altamira HRM (e.g. customer.portal.altamiraweb.com or hr.company.com). Each domain is configured through three sections: Custom Domains, Single Sign On and Mapping. This article describes the Custom Domains section.
The domain configuration interface has been updated. By accessing the section as usual, you will find the new version.
Create a new domain
To create your domain:
- From the setup app, General section, click on Custom Domains
- From the domain list, click on New.
On the creation page, choose the type of address:
- Altamira address (portal.altamiraweb.com) — default: enter only the prefix (e.g. acme). The full domain will be composed automatically (e.g. acme.portal.altamiraweb.com).
- Custom domain: enter a fully qualified domain name you own (e.g. hr.company.com). In this case no DNS record is created automatically; if the domain does not point to the expected CNAME, a warning is shown but it is still possible to save.
- Validation happens in real time as you type: invalid characters, names already in use and DNS configuration issues are reported.
- Click Save.
- If the chosen name is not available, you will need to select a different one.
altamiraweb.com zone: existing domains on this zone remain accessible and configurable (logo, CSS, SSO etc.), but new ones cannot be created and the names of existing ones cannot be changed.
If the domain name you have chosen is not available, you will need to select a different one. Once the domain has been verified, you can also customize the logo and visual appearance using a custom CSS file. For more information, see Insert a custom logo in back office.
