Localization
FollowTo translate the Career Centre in a different language you need to export the files and folders of the Career Centre from the source language (see Exporting a Career Centre). The ZIP archive that contains the site can then be sent to the translator. Translators can then translate:
- the content of the HTML documents and replace images with texts that need localizing
- the metadata contained in the XML file called Properties.zip in the root of the folder structure
The returned file must be a ZIP archive that maintains the structure and of course the HTML tags. The file can then be imported (see Importing a Career Centre).
Not all of the contents of the career centre is exported and so is not present in the ZIP archive. Specifically the following items are not exported:
- the contents of placeholders
- the names of the fields used in the views associated with the career centre (for example the CV form field labels)
To completely localize a career centre you must also extract texts in Microsoft Excel format. For more information on generic platform localization see Translations.
The structure of the Career Centre is identical for all languages: only the content can be diversified.
